The photos on this page were all from
quite a few years ago. I do have more recent pictures and will put them on here as soon as I can. In the meantime, this is what we all looked like a few years back.
On the left there's a picture of me with my mum and brother, Cody. This picture was taken in early February 2002. On the right there's a picture of my mum Sarah at the Pearl of the North Rodeo, Darwin a few years ago.
We always went to as many rodeos as we could and spent a fair amount of
time travelling to and fro across the countryside.

Above, my brother Cody riding High Tower at Warwick in 1999.
He has a very distinctive riding style and it's easy to recognise him even
at a distance without being told it's him on the bull.

On the right, me at
the Pearl of the North Rodeo, Darwin in 1999. This was the same rodeo that
the photo of my mum, above was taken. My nana took this photo and
nagged me into putting it on here. Well, you know how these nana's are, and
I like a peaceful life, soooooo ... She also said something about the gap in
my teeth being a right of passage - whatever that means hahaha. I just
wanted all my teeth back!!!

We live in a lovely little house in
the country. Our nearest town is Katherine and it's about 12 kilometres
away. That's Katherine as seen from the air in the photo on the
left. It's
not a very big place and when I was younger, I used to go
into town each day for school. I went to boarding school
for a year, learned a lot and had a great time. I made a lot of friends
there and missed them when I returned to school in Katherine again.
It was good to be back in my home town again though.

If
you click on the map at the right, it will open to a larger map so you can
see where Katherine is located. It's right near the top of Australia
in crocodile
country! You'll need to click on your back button to return to this
page.

I think this picture is really great. It was taken during a helicopter
muster at Limbunya Station in the Northern Territory. You can't see
any cattle in the picture ... but they were there all right. This
picture is really just to show you how beautiful the Australian bush
is. Can you imagine being out in this
country? Just look at the cloud reflections in the water!
Where do you find rivers like this? We
were lucky enough to be at Limbunya for a while, and it's a truly lovely
place. There are gems like this in many places in the Australian bush. You
can go for hundreds of miles and see nothing but scrubby trees, sparse
grass, parched desert etc etc, then out of the blue, you'll go around a
rise and be faced with the most beautiful scenery. It's quite amazing.

We
used to have
two little dogs called Jack and Jill. Now we only have Jill. Jack and Jill
were both Jack
Russell terriers. Jack was a real ratbag but Jill is just a sweet natured pet. Jack
got into every bit of mischief going. If something naughty happened, you can bet your cotton socks that
he was in the middle of it!
Jack was my dog. He was such a little devil (hahaha). I miss
him an awful lot, but we still have Jill and she's just the cutest little
pet. We used to
have another little Jack Russell/Terrier dog as well called Jenny.
She was really cute too ... and just as much a ratbag as Jack! The two
of them were always into mischief somewhere.
Jack gave us all a big fright a few years ago when he went after a cane
toad and got poisoned. He was only a little fellow and we all thought
he was going to die. We got to the vet's surgery at the speed of
light and the vet stayed up all night taking care of Jack until she was
sure he was going to be OK. It felt like we all held our breath all
night until we knew Jack was alright. It's awful seeing your pet so
terribly sick. I hope it never happens again to any other dogs, that's for sure.

We have had horses at different times as
well. My mum had a bull dogging horse called Spook which she used to
ride in Steer Undecorating events sometimes. He was a real big boy! Sometimes I
rode him and it was like sitting
on top of the world he was that big! We were very sad when Spook died
and we miss him an awful lot. He was a
part of our lives for quite a while and every time I go into his paddock,
I expect to see him there. I don't think we'll ever forget Spook.
I have
had two ponies and a horse as well and have put some
information about these on my 'About Me' page.
